Lara, thank you so much for the article that you wrote as a followup to our conversation last week, my client loved the title and comparison to the other company in their industry. It was insightful, knowledgeable and really shined light on the pertinent topics that our target demographic wants to know about. Thanks again!
Hello!
I’m Lara
Writer, Editor, Designer
Lara is a writer with 20 years of experience writing a personal blog, which has grown and morphed over the years. She has blogged in a casual way with lots of humor about family life, was a book and movie reviewer, and had guest posters.
One such guest poster was one of the original authors of Chicken Soup for the Soul, Mark Victor Hansen. Another post, which Lara wrote, was about the gender of the engine in the children’s story, The Little Engine That Could. This post was picked up by PBS’s All Things Considered. And finally, one of her blog posts was about working out, entitled “What Would Jason Statham Do?” which went viral, netting her over 800 views in the first month it was published, which was a huge jump for her little blog. Lara’s personal writing consists of her various Substacks and a new Medium account. She also submits writing to magazines and online publications to expand her writing credits.
Other spaces Lara has written for include: Fresh Fiction as a book reviewer; writing timely articles with an editor for Technorati.com and writing articles for Parenting for Today’s Mama, the York, PA edition. In 2024, Lara had two nonfiction pieces published by Business Insider and a flash fiction piece published online by Freedom Fiction. She worked for several years as a blog content ghostwriter across many industries with lots of researching, keyword use, and working with an editor. Lara’s writing portfolio can be found here.
Lara has a dual BA in Elementary Education and Liberal Studies. Her education degree has held her in good stead, allowing her to write in an instructive manner when needed, as well as making her an ideal person to onboard and train new employees. Lara is also a great researcher at this point, with lots of experience under her belt, as well as two graduate courses on reference and research in the Library Science program at PennWest University in process. Lara will have a Master’s degree in Library Science with emphasis on archiving and reference, in May 2026.
Lara’s current part time job started her out interviewing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and writing courses in manufacturing aimed at engineers as one of their technical writers. About two years ago, Lara was pulled into the company’s brand new marketing team to start, write, and coordinate social media for the United States audience. She was then asked to become the blog coordinator, for both course-related blogs and non-course-related blogs, written by the writing department. Lara is now also the trade show coordinator.
Lara’s complete employment background, skills list, and more can be found on her LinkedIn Profile. She has 20 years of experience in marketing, writing, and graphic design now, with an emphasis on brand development, print design, and social media coordination. Lara has also been a part of the fundraising committee for the local library, as well as been a liaison with local vendors, artists, and businesses locally to cross-advertise and run events with her employing company. Her outside-the-box thinking converts into many creative ideas on marketing, new programs and products, and multiple streams of income for her employers. She further has experience as an event coordinator, graphic designer, newsletter creator, customer service provider, marketer, and with nonprofits, just to name a few other skills and experiences.

Thanks Lara—Great and thoughtful review…reviews [are often] flattering but not thoughtful—I felt you really got what I was trying to say, especially about it being a love story between Maeve and herself. Great insight!
