Let me begin by saying that Ms. Taylor {McKusky} is an excellent writer-her style is sophisticated, her diction is mature, and her command over grammar and mechanics are superb. Her written work demonstrates clear thinking, astute observation, and an ability to engage meaningfully with a variety of different kinds of text. In fact, I have seen many students apply for graduate studies whose written skills have not been nearly so good.

Lara, thank you so much for the article that you wrote as a followup to our conversation last week, my client loved the title and comparison to the other company in their industry. It was insightful, knowledgeable and really shined light on the pertinent topics that our target demographic wants to know about. Thanks again!

Hello!

I’m Lara

Writer, Editor, Designer

Ghostwriter, research writer, parenting advice, blogging, you name it, I’ve probably written it. I’ve written for both my own blog and for others across many industries needing research including medical (diagnoses and procedures), legal, automotive, addiction recovery, real estate, and parenting. I am also a blogger with a blog that has grown and morphed over the years. It was LaLa Land on Blogger for almost a decade, then self hosted as a website before changing to a blog called Here’s the Thing. I have blogged about family life, was a book and movie reviewer and had guest posters. One such guest poster was the author of Chicken Soup for the Soul. A post I wrote for my blog, about the gender of the engine in The Little Engine That Could, was picked up by PBS’s All Things Considered. And finally, one of my blog posts was about working out called “What Would Jason Statham Do?” which went viral netting me over 800 views in the first month it was published.

Other spaces I have written in or for include: as a book reviewer for Fresh Fiction, timely article writing for Technorati.com, and articles for Parenting for Today’s Mama, the York, PA edition.

My education degree has held me in good stead, allowing me to write in an instructive manner when needed. I am also a great researcher at this point, with lots of experience under my belt. My current part time job has me interviewing SMEs and writing courses in manufacturing aimed at engineers. I also have extensive website writing experience, having created about 7 websites up to this point, using everything from Weebly to Blogger to WordPress. I have also started a number of businesses out on their social media journeys, both writing and designing for them.

Thanks Lara—Great and thoughtful review…reviews [are often] flattering but not thoughtful—I felt you really got what I was trying to say, especially about it being a love story between Maeve and herself. Great insight!
